Katherine Heigl discusses her experiences as a child living in a white bubble changed the way she parented her adopted multiracial family. Heigl told Parents, "That made me realise how foolish I was." The actor said she became angry but felt she needed to channel that energy in order to assist adopt her daughters. Sheigl's husband Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. 4. married for 13 years. The couple's daughter Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009. Adalaide is an Black 8-year-old girl they adopted in 2012.
